How is Net Transcripts’ transcription different from court reporting or other types of transcription?
Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice transcription is all that we do. We don’t perform medical or legal transcription, nor are we glorified court reporters. We have found that it is not necessary to use certified court reporters for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice transcription; in fact, to do so can become unnecessarily expensive. Accuracy and reliability are crucial for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice transcription. Our personnel are highly skilled in the specific language, nuances and procedures required for the substantially difficult and demanding task of such transcription. (top)

What is Web-Based Transcription?
Web-based Transcription allows you to send us your audio files over the Internet the same as you would send any other digital file such as a photo, etc. However, you must do so using our proprietary, password protected and encrypted SSL connection. SSL assures the same message privacy and integrity as an online banking transaction. Your audio files are transcribed and the completed transcript is then available for downloading to your computer via the same SSL connection. Once downloaded, the transcript can be printed, filed away in archival storage or integrated with most existing Records Management Systems.

The entire process is as safe, convenient and as easy to use as walking your files down the hall. It is also much more secure than allowing your recorded media to be physically transferred to another location for processing. With our service, there is no need to make a copy and then have it picked up or delivered, all of which just adds to the risk of loss, damage or interception.

(In addition to transcribing audio delivered to us via the Internet, Net Transcripts can also transcribe audio from cassette tapes, micro cassette tapes, audio CDs, DVDs and video tapes sent to Net Transcripts via courier or express delivery service. All material sent to Net Transcripts is returned along with the completed transcript.)(top)

How secure is your Web-Based Transcription process?
The transfer of your audio files and transcripts are authenticated and encrypted using our password protected SSL connection. SSL assures the same message privacy and integrity as an online banking transaction. In addition, access to your files requires a specific log-in and password.

Your completed transcripts are returned via the same SSL connection. Simply log into your account through our website, using your unique username and password, and download your completed transcripts for printing, archival storage or integration with most existing Records Management Systems.

The entire process is as fast, safe and easy to use as walking your audio files down the hall. It is also much more secure than allowing your recorded media to be physically transferred to another location for processing. With our service, there is no need to make a copy and then have it picked up or delivered, all of which just adds to the risk of loss, damage or interception.

Chain of Custody is tracked and preserved with our proprietary database.

With our "Per Minute" pricing, you will always know beforehand how much each transcript will cost. (top)
